At long last the Fiscal Study that we have been waiting for is on the County website.
I will be interested in your responses. I need to read it now!

  1. The fiscal impact Study is based on the State of the Economy last Summer and a 120% school capacity. Thus, it is of limited value. However, it still points out that additional revenue will be needed to address infrastructure needs.the current economic conditions indicate additional revue is needed to meet current conditions. The County needs to bite thew bullet and raise the County's piggyback tax which is among the lowest in the State and much lower than the surrounding Counties.
On another matter, I attended a Trib Team Meeting at which Lynn Miller gave a presentation on the status of the GDP. She the final draft should be ready by the end of April after it will be submitted to the PAB for review and comment. It may be introduced to the County Council but no public hearings will be held at least until June. The Final Draft will include an Implementation SChapter and won't include any additional proposed land use changes.
